Details:
Your chef will meet you at the designated spot 30 minutes before the class begins. They will walk you through the menu options and explain the ingredients you’ll be using. You’ll also have time to take pictures if you’d like.
Next, you’ll head to a cozy, traditional Moroccan home in the heart of Medina. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with Moroccan tea, coffee, or juice, while having a friendly chat with the chef’s family. This is a great chance to learn more about Moroccan life and culture.
The class starts with an introduction to the spices commonly used in Moroccan cuisine. If you plan to shop for spices later, you’ll learn how to pick the best ones.
You’ll then move on to cooking. Start with appetizers like Moroccan salads or briwat, followed by a main dish such as tajine, couscous, or tanjia. The session will wrap up with a traditional Moroccan dessert.
The class caters to vegetarians, vegans, and those with food allergies, so everyone can fully enjoy the experience.
When the cooking is done, sit down with the family to enjoy the meal you’ve prepared. Afterward, you’ll receive a small gift to remember the experience.
