When you land, our guide will meet you at the airport and bring you to your hotel in downtown Casablanca.
Fuel up on breakfast, then head to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s biggest. Next stop is Rabat. Visit key sites like Oudaya Kasbah, Mohammed V’s Mausoleum, and the unfinished Hassan Tower. After lunch, travel to Chefchaouen, where you’ll sleep at a local hotel.
After breakfast in your riad, drive to Volubilis, passing through Wazzan and Rif villages. Explore the Roman ruins at Volubilis, then continue to Meknes for lunch and a look at the famous Bab el Mansour and old medina. Head to Fes to spend the night.
Start your day with breakfast, then dive into Fes. Walk the winding streets, enter the Royal Palace gates, and visit the old Jewish quarter. See important sites like Al Qarawiyyin University, the Tanneries, Attarine Museum, and the mausoleum of Mulay Idriss. After lunch, watch tile-making at a local cooperative, then take in a sweeping view of the city.
After breakfast, drive south to Merzouga desert by way of Midelt and Errachidia. First stop: Ifrane, also called “Morocco’s Switzerland.” Continue through the cedar forest to spot Barbary apes. You’ll notice desert scenery beginning as you approach Errachidia. Have lunch in Midelt, then follow the winding Ziz Valley, pausing for great views. When you arrive, saddle your camel for a sunset ride across the dunes and spend the night at a desert camp with dinner included.
Catch the sunrise before breakfast, then hop a camel out of the dunes and meet your driver. Head to Dades Valley via Todgha Gorges, taking plenty of photos along the way. Walk through Todgha Gorge, then drive on to Dades Valley for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast, travel through Dades Valley’s rocky landscape and ancient kasbahs. Continue through Rose Valley, where roses bloom in spring, then reach Ouarzazate [often called African Hollywood] to see Taourirt Kasbah and the movie studios. Head to Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s largest ksar made famous by several films. Cross the Tichka Pass to reach Marrakech by late afternoon.
